    Walk-in registration for October 2011 semester  

Continuing and new students can register in person for distance learning and part-time face-to-face courses, while places are still available, at the OUHK Ho Man Tin campus during the walk-in registration period on 19-30 August. Students may receive their course materials on the spot.

    Study Planning Day  

Information sessions on distance learning, e-Learning, and part-time face-to-face programmes will be held. Visitors can meet OUHK teaching staff and browse through learning materials. There will also be advisory services on course selection, credit exemption and financial assistance.

    Seminar on ‘Enterprise Computing: Challenges and Opportunities for IT Professionals’  

In recent years, the local IT industry is facing a shortage of skilled IT professionals. Recruiting enterprise system architects and developers, in particular, has become crucial for large corporations to maintain a competitive edge. Responding to the challenge, the OUHK will launch a Postgraduate Certificate in Enterprise Computing programme with the strong support from IBM China/Hong Kong Limited. A seminar on enterprise computing will be held to facilitate the exchange of professional views. Admission to the seminar is free.

    ‘Notebook Express’  

The ‘Notebook Express’ is organized by the Students’ Union and co-organized by the Information Technology Unit. Selected notebook models from three vendors, namely, Apple, Fujitsu and Lenovo, will be available for sale at discounted prices to students, staff and alumni.





    The Open University of Hong Kong Orchestra  

The Open University of Hong Kong Orchestra is formed by a group of enthusiastic students, staff and alumni who are music amateurs. The Orchestra is now recruiting members to join its string / woodwind / brass / percussion sections.






    Mathematical Studies, Statistics and Decision Science programmes  

BSc / BSc (Hons) in Mathematical Studies

BSc / BSc (Hons) in Statistics and Decision Science
Associate Degree and Higher Diploma holders from recognized local programmes may obtain an exemption of up to 80 credits. The programmes can be completed within one and a half year.

Diploma in Applied Statistics
Credits gained in this diploma can count towards the requirements for BSc / BSc (Hons) in Mathematical Studies, or BSc / BSc (Hons) in Statistics and Decision Science through articulation of qualifications.
