Kelly Wong has taught music at school for 17 years and she really loves her job. 'Children's responses are often amazing,' she said. After Kelly's parents passed away when she was eight, she moved into a children's home run by a Christian group. There she learned to sing, and she went on to study music at the Academy for Performing Arts, during which time she won a scholarship to go to Spain for vocal training. In order to become a better teacher, she studied creative music education in the UK and enrolled on the OUHK's Master of Education programme. Despite having to juggle her time between teaching and looking after her daughter and mother-in-law, who suddenly suffered from a stroke, Kelly has always said, 'Let's look on the bright side of things.'
