Ada Leung started serving as a volunteer member of the Auxiliary Medical Services (AMS) six years ago and became interested in nursing. She worked for an environmental group for two years after getting a degree in Environmental Life Science at the University of Hong Kong, but quit that job last year to study the OUHK's full-time nursing degree programme in mental health. 'Back at AMS, it always gave me a sense of achievement to see athletes or hikers continue on after receiving treatment, but the most satisfying moment I had was when I managed to calm down a young woman who was contemplating suicide. The work of a mental health nurse is extremely challenging,' she said.
