Aims

This course aims to develop analytical and research skills to incorporate evidence-based practice in the industry of medical laboratory sciences.

Contents

Students are expected to work under the guidance and supervision of academic staff to design and execute a dissertation project. They are required to submit a project proposal, provide interim progress updates and presentations, and deliver a final project report through both an oral presentation and a written dissertation.

Assessment

Course assessment includes continuous assessment and examination.

Continuous assessment

  • Oral presentation (20%)
  • Interim reports (30%)

  • Final report (50%)
