Period: 2 March 2026 (10:00am) \u2013 6 March 2026 (5:00pm)<\/strong><\/p><p>Students planning to<strong>\u00a0retake any courses with a\u201cFail\u201dresult <\/strong>during the above specified term must submit an online application (<strong>Each student is allowed to submit only ONE application<\/strong>) within the above specified dates. Late application will NOT be processed.<\/p><p><u>Submit Your Application<\/u><\/p><p>Click the\u00a0<em>\u201c<\/em><em>Retake Application\u201d<\/em><strong>function<\/strong>\u00a0via\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hkmu.edu.hk\/undergraduate-students\">MyHKMU<\/a>\u00a0(<em>Programme &gt; Classes &amp; Enrolment &gt; Enrolment -UG) to submit an application. <\/em><\/p><p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p><p><u>User Guide<\/u><\/p><p>Follow the\u00a0step-by-step instruction in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hkmu.edu.hk\/REG\/reg_ftae\/guides\/ONAD-RT.pdf\">User Guide<\/a>\u00a0to complete the application form.<\/p><p><em><u>Application Result<\/u><\/em><\/p><p>All applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Approval of an application will depend on the following factors:<\/p><ul><li>the availability of course places<\/li><li>the student's class schedule<\/li><li>the fulfilment of prerequisite requirements<\/li><li>the endorsement by the relevant school<\/li><\/ul><p><em>Results will be finalized before the term starts (i.e. 11 May 2026). <\/em>Students whose applications are approved will be assigned to an available class section of the course they applied for. <em>Successfully enrolled course(s) will appear in your 'Academic Record' and 'Class Schedule' on <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hkmu.edu.hk\/undergraduate-students\">MyHKMU<\/a><em> . Students whose applications are unsuccessful will be notified by email. <\/em><\/p><p><u>Class Section assignment for approved retake courses<\/u><\/p><p>The class section assigned for approved retake courses will depend on the availability of course places in individual class sections and the student's class schedule. Once a class section is assigned, requests for class section changes will NOT be entertained. Students who cannot swap retake course class sections directly on the system may raise requests to the Enrolment Team (Undergraduate), Registry by email (<a href=\"mailto:regftae@hkmu.edu.hk\">regftae@hkmu.edu.hk<\/a>) and indicate the exact class section you request to swap to. Please note that only requests involving timetable clash will be entertained.\u00a0<\/p><p><u>Course Available to Retake<\/u><\/p><p>You can check the list of available courses during the specified term here (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hkmu.edu.hk\/REG\/reg_ftae\/form\/Course%20on%20Offer%20(FTUG)_5cr.pdf\">5-credit<\/a>\u00a0\/\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hkmu.edu.hk\/REG\/reg_ftae\/form\/Course%20on%20Offer%20(FTUG)_3cru.pdf\">3-credit-unit<\/a>) prior to submitting an application. Kindly note that this information is tentative and subject to change. Additionally, some courses may <strong><u>not<\/u><\/strong> be available for retake students, even if they are offered in the upcoming term. If your intended retake course is not included in the list, you should contact the course-offering School for details.<\/p><p><u>Credit Load<\/u><\/p><p>You may refer to the General Requirement (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hkmu.edu.hk\/undergraduate-students\/course-enrolment\/general-requirements-5cr\/\">5-credit system\u00a0<\/a>or\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hkmu.edu.hk\/undergraduate-students\/course-enrolment\/general-requirements-3cru\/\">3-credit-units system<\/a>) for the minimum and maximum credit load for full-time undergraduate programmes.<\/p><p>It is also recommended that you review the \u201cAdvice on Course Selection\u201d (or the special study plan provided by the University) before submitting your retake applications.<\/p><p><u>Retake of University&#8217;s Core Values Modules <strong>(for 5-credit system only)<\/strong><\/u><\/p><p><strong>If you have failed\u00a0UNI A001BW, UNI A002BW, UNI A003BW or UNI A004BW, the University will automatically assign these module(s) in the next offering term for you, in other words, no retake application is required.<\/strong>\u00a0The enrolment for these module(s) will appear in your \u201cAcademic Record\u201d or \u201cClass Schedule\u201d on MyHKMU at the start of the term. If you are required to retake these module(s) but cannot view the enrolment status on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hkmu.edu.hk\/undergraduate-students\">MyHKMU<\/a> by the start of the term, please contact the Enrolment Team (Undergraduate) at <a href=\"mailto:regftae@hkmu.edu.hk\">regftae@hkmu.edu.hk<\/a> for enquiries.<\/p><p><u>Arrangements for N&amp;HS Students (except BSCHMLSJ1)<\/u><\/p><p><strong>For\u00a0N&amp;HS students, except those enrolled in the Bachelor of Science with Honours in Medical Laboratory Science (BSCHMLSJ1), the retake of core course(s) will be arranged by the School. Students do not need to submit a retake application. However, you must apply to retake any General Education (GE) courses as needed. <\/strong>Please refer to your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hkmu.edu.hk\/undergraduate-students\/course-enrolment\/programme-requirements\/\">programme requirements<\/a> to determine whether you need to complete these courses.<\/p><p><u>Distance Learning Options <strong>(for 5-credit system only)<\/strong><\/u><\/p><p>Students may consider taking equivalent distance-learning (DL) courses to replace failed undergraduate or sub-degree courses, if applicable. The application process is the same as outlined above. Courses offerings in distance-learning mode can be found at: <a href=\"https:\/\/admissions.hkmu.edu.hk\/dl\/courses\/\">https:\/\/admissions.hkmu.edu.hk\/dl\/courses\/<\/a>. Once you have been approved to take the equivalent DL course(s), you will be notified of the registration process and any applicable tuition fee incurred, via email. Failure to complete registration procedure by the deadline will result in cancellation of your application.<\/p><p><u>Non-local students<\/u><\/p><p>Non-local students must hold a valid student visa \/ entry permit to take courses at the University. For details on renewing or extending your student visa, please refer to the <a href=\"https:\/\/admissions.hkmu.edu.hk\/student-visa\/\">website for Visa Matters for Continuing Students<\/a>.
