Updates on Campus Access Control Measures (Circular 73)  19/08/2022 (只提供英文版)

Dear Colleagues,

Following the Government's announcement of the addition of the Red Code and Amber Code into the Vaccine Pass to differentiate persons with higher risk of infection (i.e. confirmed cases and inbound persons from overseas places or Taiwan), the University has updated the campus access control arrangements with immediate effect as follows:-

A. Persons under the category of Red Code

All persons under the category of Red Code, including staff, students, alumni, visitors and contractors, are not allowed to enter the Campus.

B. Persons under the category of Amber Code

1. Staff and Students

Staff and students under the category of Amber Code are allowed to enter the Campus but cannot visit the catering facilities and gymnasium nor take part in mask-off extra-curricular activities. To reduce risk of transmission, they are required to take the daily rapid antigen tests (RAT) using self-testing kit and get negative result on the day before they enter the Campus. They should also keep record by taking photo of the testing result.

2. Alumni, Visitors and Contractors

Alumni, visitors and contractors under the category of Amber Code are not allowed to enter the Campus.

C. Points to note

1. Staff with Amber Code shall report to HRO about the Amber Code status.

2. Staff with Amber Code are required to go to work on Campus unless they have obtained the respective Deans’ / Directors’ special approval of working from home.

3. Visitors with Amber Code are not allowed to enter the Campus. Schools / Offices should check / remind the visitors when issuing the QR codes via Visitors Management System.

4. Staff with Amber Code are required to have the lunch in the following designated locations instead of in the work desks of their offices unless they have an individual office:-

The University will continue to monitor the pandemic situation closely and make any necessary adjustments to the policy as and when required. 2021年秋季學期最新教學安排 (通告 46)  10/08/2021

各位同學:

秋季學期將於 2021年9月20日星期一開始,因應新冠疫情的發展,我在此公佈大學最新的教學安排。

正如早前發出的公告中所述,大學將在 2021 年秋季學期恢復面授。雖然在過去一年多的經驗中,證實網上學習是有效的教學安排,但校園生活是大學旅程中不可或缺的一部分,對於同學獲得全面的大學體驗至關重要。

隨著我們逐漸恢復正常的課堂學習,大學將繼續密切關注疫情的發展,適時作出所需調整,並且盡一切努力確保校內師生的健康與安全。

講課、導修課、實驗課和實習以及期末考試的安排

講課將以面授的方式進行。所有課堂將會錄影,並於課堂後上載到網上教學平台供同學閱覽。*

導修課基本上以面授為主,但亦可根據個別學科的教學需求採用其他模式,例如導修課錄影*、網課或混合模式(即面授及即時網上授課並行)等。網上模式僅提供給基於合理原因無法返校上課的學生,例如由於香港或當地政府施加的入境限制而無法來港者。有上述情況的同學應先向有關學院申請,以便作出相應安排。個別學科的最終導修課安排將在學期開始前公佈。

實驗課和實習將面對面進行。個別學院會作出相關安排,並將詳細資料發送給同學。

期末考試將恢復為校內實體考試。所有學生都必須到校園參加考試。

來港上課

來港上課的非本地生應注意香港特區政府的檢疫要求,並據此制定出行計劃。我們的學生事務處​​在這個網頁上收錄了一些相關的資訊,以供參考。對於來自內地的同學,請注意來港上學向來是教育部海外學歷認證的要求。早前受疫情影響,教育部按需要作出臨時變通,放寬了這個要求。這政策是否繼續,實屬未知之數。因此,雖然大學可安排網上學習,同學如不來港上課的話,可能會承受學歷不被認證的風險。

接種疫苗保障安全

為了保障大學社群的健康和安全,我們強烈鼓勵大家在新學年開始前接種疫苗。大學亦已推出了幸運抽獎計劃作為鼓勵,所有接種了兩劑新冠疫苗的師生均可參加。詳情請參閱這網頁。此外,所有教職員、學生和訪客都必須在進入校園之前掃描“安心出行”二維碼,以便若發現確診的新冠病例時,進行必要的聯繫及追蹤。
