Peer Tutors \u5168\u65e5\u5236\u96fb\u8166\u5b78\u7cfb\u540c\u8f29\u6559\u5e2b<\/h3>\n

Peer tutors are student leaders who tutor other, often junior, students. Empirical studies have found that peer tutoring is beneficial to both the tutors, the tutees and instruction as a whole, and so it has been implemented in an increasing number of universities around the world.<\/p>\n

\nThe duties of peer tutors include the following:<\/p>\n

    \n \t
  • Assist instructors in providing instruction individually or in small groups, under close supervision of instructors.<\/li>\n \t
  • Provide consultation in designated time slots.<\/li>\n \t
  • Assist instructors to perform clerical work related to a face-to-face course, including the design of web and online activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The peer tutoring scheme (\u540c\u8f29\u6559\u5e2b\u8a08\u5283) is designed to achieve multiple goals:<\/p>\n

      \n \t
    • Encourages weak junior students to seek help from their peers who would find that peer tutoring is less threatening and allowing them to establish a better rapport with the peer tutors.<\/li>\n \t
    • Provides senior students who aspire to pursue a teaching career in secondary and tertiary institutions an opportunity of teaching.<\/li>\n \t
    • Through teaching junior students their understanding of the subject area would also improve.<\/li>\n \t
    • Assists the programme team to provide more quality education to the students.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
