This programme is designed for holders of a recognized local Higher Diploma or Associate Degree in Computing to receive 60 credit-units of exemption towards the BSCICNH\/BSCICN degrees.<\/p>\n\n

Admission Requirement<\/strong><\/h5>\n

A recognized local Higher Diploma or Associate Degree in Computing or a closely related area, in addition to general university’s requirements.<\/p>\n\nView Assessed Qualifications Recognized for Pathway Entry<\/a>\n\n

Students with qualifications not listed above should consult the Computing Programme Team for other possibilities.<\/p>\n

How to Apply?<\/strong><\/h5>\n
    \n \t
  1. Contact the Computing Programme Team for an assessment of your qualification (or view the list in the previous section)<\/li>\n \t
  2. Select suitable courses offered in the coming semester.\n
      \n \t
    1. Register these courses using Online Application<\/a>.<\/li>\n \t
    2. Indicate the “intended programme” to be BSCICN1 or BSCICNH1.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
      Programme Structure<\/strong><\/h5>\nBachelor of Science with Honours in Computing and Networking (through Pathway 1) (BSCICNH1)<\/strong>\n\nTo be eligible for the award of the degree of Bachelor of Science with Honours in Computing and Networking through Pathway 1, a student shall:\n
        \n \t
      • obtain 63 credit-units as prescribed below, of which at least 24 credit-units shall be at 3000-level and 24 credit-units at 4000-level:\n
          \n \t
        • 24 credit-units from courses labelled CD and D1 at 3000\/4000-level in Table 1;<\/li>\n \t
        • 24 credit-units from courses labelled D2 in Table 1;<\/li>\n \t
        • 6 credit-units from courses labelled D3 in Table 1;<\/li>\n \t
        • 9 credit-units of University Core courses labelled UC in Table 1; and<\/li>\n \t
        • attain the CGPA for graduation as prescribed in the Regulations for the Award of Undergraduate Degrees.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
