Chan Chui Ki enjoys conducting tests and experiments in laboratories. Equipped with theoretical knowledge and practical skills to work in the testing and certification industry at HKMU, she wishes to be a researcher in the future.<\/p>

\u201cI worked as an intern for eight weeks at a commercial lab this summer to do water quality testing, in which I put what I have learnt into practice. I did experiments every day and had great fun!\u201d Chan says.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Chan loves what she is studying and performs very well in her study. She has been placed on the Dean's List multiple times and earned several scholarships. She is grateful for the recognition. \u201cI feel a sense of achievement, which motivates me to work harder.\u201d<\/p>

She also faces up to her weakness. \u201cI am not good at speaking and engaging people in conversation. Therefore, I participate in co-curricular activities to meet different people and try things beyond my comfort zone.\u201d<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In this spring, Chan acted as a Design Thinking Ambassador in a STEM-focused social innovation programme for junior secondary students to transform Kowloon East into a pioneer smart city in Hong Kong, co-organized by Junior Achievement Hong Kong and J.P. Morgan. Through collaborating with J.P. Morgan volunteers to support and mentor secondary students, Chan has brushed up her interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills. \u201cI can tell my improvements while doing my internship.
