From October 24th to 27th <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">24th to 27th October 2023<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Student Affairs Office (SAO) organized the &#8220;Portraits of the Elderly: Journey of Life Exhibition&#8221; to shed light on the unique stories, wisdom, and resilience of the elderly.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> we welcomed <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">More than<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> 39<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">0<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">HKMU members actively participated in the exhibition and took part in interactive activities such as the &#8220;Before I Die&#8221; Message Wall, the Life in Five Senses Board Game, and writing Love Mail postcards.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This exhibition aims to illuminate the unique stories, wisdom, and resilience of the elderly, providing visitors with an opportunity to reflect on different stages of life and contemplate the value and importance of life itself.<\/span><\/p><h6 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Exhibition Highlights:<\/strong><\/h6><ul style=\"text-align: justify;\"><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Portraits of the Elderly<\/span>:<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The photography artworks featured in this exhibition offer a unique perspective on the lives and experiences of older individuals in Hong Kong. All the photography artworks were taken by student leaders who participated in the Life Ambassador Programme 2022\/2023, a service-learning programme that provided a platform for students to develop empathy, understanding, and appreciation for the experiences of the elderly while showcasing their talents and commitment to social responsibility.<\/span><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: left;\" aria-level=\"2\"><strong>Elderly's Portrait:<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Click <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hkmu.edu.hk\/sao\/community-engagement\/photography-services-for-elderly-elderlys-portrait\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here\u00a0<\/span><\/a><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><ul style=\"text-align: justify;\"><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Elderly's Memory Book<\/span>:<\/strong> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Elderly's Memory Book presents personal narratives, memories, and reflections shared by the elderly. It offers a deeper insight into their life journeys, allowing visitors to connect with their experiences on a more personal level.<\/span><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: left;\" aria-level=\"2\"><strong>Elderly's Memory Book:<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Click <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><ul style=\"text-align: justify;\"><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u201cBefore I Die, I want to\u2026\u201d Message Wall<\/span>:<\/strong> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Before I Die, I want to&#8230;&#8221;. This concept is part of a global community art project that encourages individuals to contemplate their own mortality and reflect upon the things that hold the greatest meaning in their lives. The campaign has gained remarkable popularity worldwide, with more than 5,000 walls established across the globe and it was the first time Hong Kong hosts this impactful community artwork. In this exhibition, it provided a platform for HKMU members to reflect on their lives and create a space for contemplating their goals and dreams.<\/span><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: left;\" aria-level=\"2\"><strong>\u201cBefore I Die wall\u201d :<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Click <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hkmu.edu.hk\/sao\/community-engagement\/portraits-of-the-elderly-journey-of-life-exhibition-before-i-die-wall\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here<\/span><\/a><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><ul style=\"text-align: justify;\"><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Love Mail<\/span>:<\/strong> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Love Mail&#8221; aims to provide postcards with the themes of &#8220;Life and Death&#8221; and &#8220;Exploring Life&#8221; to HKMU members. In our exhibition, 70 HKMU members also participated in the &#8220;Love Mail&#8221; postcard-writing activity, which was another engaging experience for participants to express love and gratitude to their loved ones.<\/span><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><strong>Love Mail :<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Click <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hkmu.edu.hk\/sao\/portraits-of-the-elderly-journey-of-life-exhibition%ef%bc%9alove-mail\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here<\/span><\/a><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Life in Five Senses Board Game<\/span>:<\/strong> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is an immersive and interactive game that explores various aspects of life through the exploration of the five senses.
