Certified Banker Programme Information Session – How to get a “Specialist Certificate in Green Finance and Sustainability” with up to 100% reimbursement?

You may have heard about Green and Sustainable Finance or ESG in recent years. This is one of the hottest topics globally, be it related to financial industry or the business sector. To maintain the prestigious status of Hong Kong as a leading international financial centre, the regulator has launched a “Pilot Green and Sustainable Finance Capacity Building Support Scheme” to encourage younger generation to acquire green knowledge by providing subsidy so that our talent pool in Green and Sustainable Finance could be expanded.

In response to this capacity building initiative, the newly developed Certified Banker (Stage II) module “Green Finance and Sustainability”, which is listed in the “Green and Sustainable Finance Training Repository” provided by the regulator, is also made available to all university students so that anyone who are interested in understanding more on green finance can enrol. After completing the module training and passing the examination, learners can obtain an individual certificate: “Specialist Certificate in Green Finance and Sustainability”. Learners can also claim for module exemption in future should they continue to pursue CB (Stage II) if applicable.

We are also pleased to announce that “this programme is one of the Eligible Programmes under the Pilot Green and Sustainable Finance Capacity Building Support Scheme, (https://www.greentalent.org.hk/).” Eligible students can claim for 100% reimbursement, meaning that you would be able to get this Specialist Certificate without cost!
