Student Affairs Office HKMU Service Alliance

HKMU Student Affairs Office (SAO) is recruiting members of “HKMU Service Alliance”, aiming to recruit full-time undergraduate students who are interested in participating in Service-Learning and volunteer activities.

SAO would organize and provide various service-learning and volunteer activities every semester. Joining the Alliance allows you to get the first-hand Service Learning activities information and priority admission to relevant activities. SAO would also provide members with adequate trainings, and recognize active and committed members.

We will regularly send you e-newsletters to share the latest information, past activities and different external volunteer opportunities. (Past e-newsletters)

Privileges
  • Get the first-hand Service-Learning and volunteer activities information and priority admission
  • Participate in training activities for free
  • Get a certificate upon completion of 20 hours or more / 50 hours or more volunteer work or service in service-learning programmes (Accumulated up to 31 Aug of each year)
  • You could apply the Student Enhancement Scheme with one-off subsidy of HK$1,000 upon completion of the service-learning programmes and community services offered by SAO
  • Get the opportunity to be nominated for relevant awards and qualifications such as the “Outstanding Service Awards for Tertiary Students” and NGO placement

Service-Learning Programmes

Service-Learning integrates meaningful community service with academic study and reflections to enrich students’ learning experience. Service themes include art, history, life education, environmental protection, elderly service, mental health, visually impaired, etc.

The hours of service of service-learning activities will also be counted in the programme.

Community Service / Volunteer Opportunity 

SAO provides different external volunteer activities and you could participate in the activities according to your interests and availability. The hours of volunteer work will also be counted in the platforms below: 

  • Social Career
  • Wofoo Leaders’ Network (The activities will be announced via e-newsletter)
  • Volunteer work recommended in our e-newsletter

*Please register above volunteer activities with HKMU student email”. Otherwise, we might not able to count your hours of volunteer work.
