Student Affairs Office Dream Fighter Sharing

Dream Fighter Sharing 愛拼‧敢夢分享系列

Throughout the 2020/21 academic year, the volatile pandemic situation brought adverse impact to our students. In the new academic year, Student Affairs Office (SAO) will invite some experienced people and celebrities from diverse backgrounds to share their career path and life experience to our students so as to inspire them to explore multiple career options, and encourage them to embrace challenge as opportunities. We hope students can stick to their dream and don't be afraid of failure.

On 29 Oct 2021, we were honoured to have Mr. Chiu Sin Hang (Hangjai), the singer of HK pop band ToNick, director of HK film One Second Champion, actor and host of radio programme, as our guest speaker to share his successful and failure stories as a “slashie” in the field of multi-media to 100+ MU students on-campus. The room temperature was heated up by Hangjai and the event moderator Ms. Angela Law and students asked questions to Hangjai actively. In the sharing session, Hangjai used his own career story to echo our theme. He hoped MU students could stick to their dream and never give up.

On 7 Dec 2021, we were honoured to have Mr. Wong Kam Po (Kam Po), a legend cyclist who won three-time Asian Games gold medalist, three-time National Games gold medalist and five-time Olympian, to share his career story in sports with our students.   Our two students (Chloe & Stan) were acted as MC and student moderators under the lead of our Vice-president (Students & Support), Prof. Ricky Kwok in this sharing session.  Although the sharing was fall into the peak season of academic assignment and quiz period, it didn’t affect the warm and rich dialogue between moderators, students and Kam Po.  Students were encouraged by Kam Po’s career story for a positive and resilience attitude at work.  “Every day is a new start.  Yesterday success or failure is passed.” Kam Po said.
