OUHK iBookcase

Mobile learning on the go! — The OUHK iBookcase app
(for smartphones and tablets)

The OUHK has always been committed to promoting learning effectiveness and flexibility. In 2017, the university launched the iBookcase app to allow students to learn anytime, anywhere. It provides information and tools for students' courses simultaneously on smartphones and tablets. In the past three years, over 20,000 students have used the app for effective mobile learning. In response to various circumstances, the University has enhanced the features of iBookcase and the app has evolved into an essential learning tool for students at all levels, both part-time and full-time.

In order to engage students in mobile learning via iBookcase, the University introduced the Mobile Learning Engagement Incentive Scheme in 2017 in which eligible students received a HK$500 cash incentive for using the app for studies. As of June 2020, over 8,000 students fulfilled the eligibility criteria and benefitted from the scheme.

With LiPACE course materials* now available on iBookcase from January 2021, the Mobile Learning Incentive Scheme will be extended with relaxed eligibility criteria. Students from both the OUHK and LiPACE will be able to engage in mobile learning with iBookcase and benefit from the incentive scheme (terms and conditions apply).

*	iBookcase app provides materials of these LiPACE courses:
	•	Full-time programmes,
	•	PHDECE/PTD38 Higher Diploma in Early Childhood Eduation (part-time)
	•	PUGOSH Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Occupational Safety and Health Management/ BN018 Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Occupational Safety, Health and Enrivonment, and
	•	DT001 Professional Diploma in Waste Management and Meat and Foods Inspection
