HKMU scholars showcase research achievements at Research Grants Council workshop<\/b><\/h3>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Scholars from Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) presented their research achievements at a workshop hosted by the Research Grants Council (RGC) on 20 November 2024. The workshop aimed to deepen scholars’ understanding of RGC funding initiatives for the local self-financing degree sector, offering a platform for scholars to engage with Assessment Panel members and past successful applicants of the research grants.<\/p>

During the workshop, Dr John Chui Kwok Tai, Assistant Professor in the School of Science and Technology, shared tips on preparing a successful proposal for the RGC’s Institutional Development Scheme \u2013 Collaborative Research Grant. He highlighted the key points to consider when preparing the abstract, collaboration plan, methodology, and supporting documents for the application.<\/p>

The event also featured a poster session showcasing completed projects from various self-financing institutions. Five completed Faculty Development Scheme (FDS) projects led by HKMU scholars from various disciplines were displayed in the poster session. Principal investigators from HKMU shared and discussed these projects with other participants during the session.<\/p>

This engaging event provided valuable insights that will contribute to the University’s success in securing more research grants and generating impactful and successful research projects in the years to come.<\/p>
