The Faculty Research Startup Fund aims to help newly hired academic staff members at the rank of Chair Professor, Professor, Associate Professor or Assistant Professor develop their research in the University by providing funding for relevant research expenditure, such as carrying out pilot studies and purchasing research equipment and software.

Staff members who meet the eligibility requirements and whose appointment started on or after 1 January 2024 are eligible to apply for it.
