    This guide outlines how to generate visual research networks, manage your paper library, and export citations using Connected Papers.

    Access Connected Papers Website

    a. Navigate to the website: https://www.connectedpapers.com/;
    b. Use the basic features without logging in (Note: The free plan allows for the creation of up to five graphs per month).

    Generate Similar Paper Network Diagrams

    a. Enter a Seed Paper by using keywords, the paper title, DOI, or another identifier in the input field;
    b. Click the Build a graph button;
    c. View the generated visual graph, where each node represents a paper;
    d. Click any node to see the paper's details or to create a new graph from that paper (Note: Similarity is based on co-citation and bibliographic coupling; the node size indicates citation count, and node colour represents the publication year).

    Manage Personal Research Library

    a. Click the List button in the top panel to view a detailed list of papers;
    b. Sort the list by author, year, or citation count;
    c. Note that graphs are automatically saved to your personal history if you have an account.
