This guide outlines how to install Anytype, create and manage notes, and visualise and export your work. (Reference Version: 0.47.6)
Download and Install Anytype
| a. | Navigate to the website: https://anytype.io/; |
| b. | Select the installer version that matches your operating system; |
| c. | Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation; |
| d. | Launch the Anytype software. |
Create Notes and Manage Files
| a. | Click the + (New space) button in the sidebar; |
| b. | Click Space and enter a title for the space; |
| c. | Click the New icon next to the space title; |
| d. | Select an object type from the dropdown list, such as Page, Task, or Note; |
| e. | Click the Gallery button in the sidebar; |
| f. | Browse and select a template from the library; |
| g. | Click Install and select a created space; |
| h. | Click to open an object or page from the left-side menu; |
| i. | Edit the content in the right-side window directly; |
| j. | Open the created space; |
| k. | Click File > Import to space from the top panel to import files (Note: Supports import from Obsidian, Notion, or HTML, TXT, Markdown, and CSV files). |
Use the Graph View and Export
| a. | Click the Graph icon in the upper-left corner of the editing area to switch to the graph visualisation; |
| b. | Right-click on an object to connect; |
| c. | Select Add Link to Object from the context menu and choose the destination page to link; |
| d. | Repeat the process to link multiple pages to a single object; |
| e. | Click File > Export space from the top panel; |
| f. | Select a format in Markdown or Any-block to export. |
