    Start with a Template

    This guide outlines how to utilise Miro's key functionalities for collaborative work, from initial setup to advanced integrations and AI-powered features. (Access Date: 29 July 2025)

    Access Miro Website

    a. Navigate to the website: https://miro.com/;
    b. Select either the Log in or Sign up free button;
    c. Follow the on-screen instructions to sign in or create an account using a Google, Office365, or Slack account, or an email address.

    Create Diagrams on Canvas

    a. Click the + Create new button on the main page;
    b. Select Diagram and then click Create team board;
    c. Add elements such as shapes, flowcharts, text boxes, frames, connections, and sticky notes from the toolbars;
    d. Click on an element to edit it using the tools in the context menu;
    e. Click the Share button;
    f. Enter a name for the board and click Save;
    g. Enter email addresses to invite team members or click copy team invite link to get a shareable link.

    Use Miro AI

    a. Select a text element and click the Miro AI icon in the context menu;
    b. Choose an AI function from the dropdown list, such as Fix grammar and spelling or Translate;
    c. Click the Create with AI button from the left toolbar;
    d. Select a diagram type, such as Flowchart or Mind Map, from the AI menu;
    e. Select existing elements on the canvas to include them in the creation;
    f. Enter the requirements in the text field and press Enter;
    g. Click Apply to canvas to accept the changes;
    h. Click the Miro icon at the top-left of the webpage to return to the main page.

    Start with a Template

    a. Click the Explore templates button on the main page;
    b. Browse categories or use the search bar to find a template;
    c. Click the chosen template and select Use template > Create team board;
    d. Fill in the template's sections with your team's information.
