Welcome to the HKMU Library! Want to know your Library? No problem!

A number of orientation workshops and tours are prepared for you to help you to know your Library services, facilities and collections.

In each orientation workshop, we will cover:

  • Introduction to the campus libraries, Library’s facilities and services;
  • How to search library resources via LibSearch;
  • How to use the E-Library as starting point for finding materials for your assignments;
  • How to find journal articles for a topic;
  • Hands-on practice on finding library materials in LibSearch, e.g. past exam papers.

Guided tour of the Stanley Ho Library (Main Campus) and the Ho Sik Yee Library (Jockey Club Campus) will be arranged after each session. In the guided tour, you will:

  • Visit Stanley Ho Library (Main Campus) and Ho Sik Yee Library (Jockey Club Campus)
  • Be introduced Library’s services and facilities
  • Know how to use the popular facilities (photocopiers, printers, self-checkout machines, interactive whiteboards, etc.)
  • Have a chance to try these facilities out yourself!

Library Quest: Explore, Learn and Win!

Do you know the Library well? Do you know how to conduct a search in LibSearch? Join the Library Quest to see if you know your Library inside out! Answering 10 questions, participants with full score can join a lucky draw. Conquer the Library Quest and win a prize in this new semester!

Activity period: 4 – 30 September 2023

Who can join: All HKMU active students

Prizes: Participants with all questions answered correctly in the quiz can enter the lucky draw. Prizes are:

To help our users having a greater experience of searching and using the Library services, HKMU launched a new Library webpage with numerous enhanced features in July! To help you get familiar with the new features of the new Library webpage, different sessions of webinars are scheduled for you!

In each session, we will cover:

  • How to use the new search tabs to search different library resources;
