Tutor Webmail Migration<\/h2>

Currently, HKMU Webmail system is running in a legacy Domino platform. The system is aging after it has been running for years. To enhance the email service, it will be replaced by the Microsoft O365 Email system in this coming Autumn term.<\/p>

Followings are the\u00a0Important Date<\/u>\u00a0of the Migration:<\/p>

*t123456 is an example of a tutor number 123456<\/em><\/p>
Date<\/strong><\/td>Webmail<\/strong><\/td>O365<\/strong><\/td><\/tr>
1st Aug 2024<\/td>Emails sending to your webmail account (with email address t123456@hkmu.edu.hk) will also be sent to your O365 account (t123456@live.hkmu.edu.hk)<\/td>

Your O365 account will have a new email address: \u00a0t123456@live.hkmu.edu.hk<\/strong><\/p>

New & Existing Tutor<\/u><\/p>

If you do not know or forget your O365 password, you can activate or reset password in here<\/a><\/p><\/td><\/tr>

1st Oct 2024<\/td>

Your webmail account will not receive new coming emails. You cannot compose new emails in the webmail system and your account will become read only.<\/p>

You can copy the old emails in the system to O365 email system if desired.<\/p><\/td>

O365 will be your email account.<\/td><\/tr>
End of Autumn Term<\/td>The Legacy Webmail system will be obsolete and the platform will stop in service.<\/td>\u00a0<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table>

Starting from\u00a01<\/u><\/strong>st<\/sup><\/u><\/strong>\u00a0Oct 2024<\/u><\/strong>, the legacy webmail system will become a read-only system. It will not receive or send out new emails. O365 will be your official email account.<\/p>

Followings are the changes related to the legacy webmail system at 1st<\/sup>\u00a0Oct 2024:<\/p>

The legacy webmail system will not receive new emails. If you still have not activated your O365 account, please do it immediately.<\/p>

You have to check your emails in your O365 account.<\/p><\/td>

Please access HKMU O365 page and refer the \u201cFirst Time User or Reset Password\u201d box to activate your account. You can refer\u00a0FAQ #1<\/a>\u00a0if you need help.<\/td><\/tr>
2<\/td>If you have setup mobile app to read your emails in the legacy webmail system, your app will not be able to send out emails.<\/td>Please change to use O365 mobile app, please refer\u00a0FAQ #11<\/a>\u00a0.<\/td><\/tr>
3<\/td>

O365 email account t123456@live.hkmu.edu.hk<\/strong> is your official email account.<\/p>

Emails sending to your legacy webmail address t123456@hkmu.edu.hk<\/strong> will only be redirected to your O365 account.<\/p><\/td>
