Welcome to the Department of Humanities, Language and Translation (HLT)!<\/h5>
HLT upholds the spirit of flexibility and innovation to provide high-quality education to students, to foster their language skills, academic abilities, professional knowledge, and multicultural visions, so that they will be prepared for their success in the current trend of globalization. Currently, HLT offers 10 undergraduate and taught postgraduate programmes. Among them, Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Chinese, Bachelor of Arts with Honours in English Language and Culture, Master of Arts in Chinese Literature, and Master of Arts in Applied English Linguistics are recognized by the Education Bureau of the HKSAR Government as language major degree programmes for the language teaching profession.<\/h5>

<\/span>Our colleagues have a strong commitment to nurturing the new generation of learners. We are engaging and preparing them for whole-person development \u2014 with professional knowledge and skills, critical thinking, and humanist values. In addition to teaching, our colleagues have been pursuing new heights in academic research and engaging in a wide range of knowledge exchange activities to connect students, scholars, and the community.<\/h5>

\u672c\u7cfb\u79c9\u627f\u9748\u6d3b\u548c\u5275\u65b0\u7cbe\u795e\uff0c\u70ba\u5b78\u751f\u63d0\u4f9b\u9ad8\u8cea\u91cf\u7684\u6559\u80b2\uff0c\u57f9\u990a\u4ed6\u5011\u7684\u8a9e\u8a00\u80fd\u529b\u3001\u5b78\u8853\u80fd\u529b\u3001\u5c08\u696d\u77e5\u8b58\u548c\u591a\u5143\u6587\u5316\u8996\u91ce\uff0c\u70ba\u4ed6\u5011\u5728\u5168\u7403\u5316\u8da8\u52e2\u4e0b\u7372\u5f97\u6210\u529f\u800c\u4f5c\u597d\u5145\u5206\u6e96\u5099\u3002\u672c\u7cfb\u76ee\u524d\u958b\u8a2d\u517110\u500b\u672c\u79d1\u8ab2\u7a0b\u53ca\u4fee\u8ab2\u5f0f\u7814\u7a76\u751f\u8ab2\u7a0b\u3002\u5176\u4e2d\uff0c\u4e2d\u6587\u69ae\u8b7d\u6587\u5b78\u58eb\u3001\u82f1\u8a9e\u53ca\u6587\u5316\u69ae\u8b7d\u6587\u5b78\u58eb\u3001\u4e2d\u570b\u6587\u5b78\u6587\u5b78\u78a9\u58eb\u3001\u61c9\u7528\u82f1\u8a9e\u8a9e\u8a00\u5b78\u6587\u5b78\u78a9\u58eb\uff0c\u7372\u6559\u80b2\u5c40\u8a8d\u53ef\u70ba\u4e3b\u4fee\u8a9e\u6587\u79d1\u76ee\u7684\u8ab2\u7a0b\u3002<\/h5>
