<\/a>Programme description<\/b> <\/span><\/p>

This programme, for which there are no entry requirements<\/em>, provides the opportunity for students to construct their own programme of study within the framework of the HKMU degree\/sub-degree regulations.<\/p>

The aims of the programme are:<\/p>

  1. to provide a flexible qualification at degree level which meets the general demands of the Hong Kong workforce;<\/li>
  2. to provide opportunities for intellectual development for adult students wishing to graduate with a general qualification;<\/li>
  3. to provide an opportunity for mature students to define their own programme of study.<\/li><\/ol>

    <\/a>Programme requirements<\/b><\/span><\/p>

    Students admitted to the full programme of BGST are required to successfully complete at least 90 credit-units as prescribed below, of which no more than 30 credit-units shall be at 1000-level, and at least 24 credit-units shall be at 3000-\/4000-level:<\/p>
    (a)<\/td>at least 75 credit-units from any undergraduate courses offered by the University at 1000-level or above, of which no more than 21 credit-units shall be at 1000-level, and at least 21 credit-units shall be at 3000-\/4000-level;<\/td><\/tr>
    (b)<\/td>6 credit-units of University English courses<\/em><\/td><\/tr>
    (c)<\/td>9 credit-units of University Core courses<\/em><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table>

    <\/a>Notes<\/b><\/span><\/p>

    In order to ensure that the programme of study you construct meets the regulations of the BGST\/AGST programme, the University offers a support service for BGST\/AGST students. You may write to the Admissions & Enrolment Office (Part-time & Postgraduate) in Registry or use the form for 'Application for Academic Support for Bachelor\/Associate of General Studies' and include your study plan and area of interest so that telephone advice can be given to you.<\/p>

    Associate of General Studies (AGST) can serve as an early exit point for Bachelor of General Studies (BGST). Students may opt to graduate with AGST after completing the required number of credit-units and fulfilling the programme graduation requirements.
