Jockey Club Institute of Healthcare<\/strong><\/h5>

Hong Kong is facing an aging population which has posed considerable challenges to the society and, in particular, to the healthcare system. To ensure an adequate supply of healthcare professionals, the University has embarked on an exciting HK$850 million new campus development project, \u201cHKMU Jockey Club Institute of Healthcare\u201d<\/strong> (IOH), on Sheung Shing Street since late 2017. It is home to a suite of healthcare programmes that aims to provide the next generation of healthcare professionals to address community needs.<\/p>

The new campus, which commenced operation in early November 2020, provides an ideal teaching and learning environment for all students and staff of the University. With a total gross floor area of 18,680 square meters, the 13-storey new building is well designed and equipped with modern learning facilities and spacious student amenities on top of its elegant curtain wall outlook. It comprises not only professional laboratories and centres, but also a wide range of spacious and state-of-the-art amenities, such as conference hall, sports and wellness centre, lecture theatres, academic concourse, open terrace, learning commons, mini caf\u00e9, etc. for all HKMU students and staff. Jockey Club Campus<\/strong><\/h5>

The completion of the new 12-storey Jockey Club Campus on Chung Hau Street in Ho Man Tin marks a remarkable new achievement of the University. The building was completed in early 2014 and was designed to accommodate the rapidly rising demand for our full-time programmes. To echo with the government's promotion of the six crucial industries in Hong Kong, Jockey Club Campus provides full-time programmes in Cultural and Creative Arts, Testing and Certification and Medical services.<\/p>

The annual intake of Jockey Club Campus is about 750, with a total capacity of 2,400 students. The total construction cost of the building is close to HK$700 million, with state-of-the-art facilities and student-oriented setups like Arts Studios and Laboratories, Testing and Certification Laboratories, Clinical Nursing Education Centre, Auditorium, Active Learning Classrooms and Learning Commons.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Kwai Hing Campus<\/strong><\/h5>

At a cost of nearly HK$800 million, HKMU acquired five storeys of commercial space at the Kowloon Commerce Centre in Kwai Chung in 2013 to establish the Kwai Hing Campus and as the headquarters of its Li Ka Shing School of Professional and Continuing Education (LiPACE).<\/p>

With a gross area of over 120,000 square feet, the Kwai Hing Campus is three times the size of its original premise in Sheung Wan, and will be able to accommodate 1,500 students.<\/p>

The campus comprises not only fully-equipped Classrooms, PC and Languages Laboratories, Lecture Theatre and Learning Resources Centre, but also several purpose-built teaching\/learning facilities such as Design Studio, Mock-up Airplane Cabin, Hotel Room, Hospital Ward and Radio Broadcasting Studio, aiming to enrich students' learning experiences.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
