Programme learning outcomes<\/strong><\/h3>

(a) Master the major concepts and theories in criminology, police studies and penology;<\/p>

In addition to the learning outcome for the above-mentioned programmes, graduates of the BSSLESM programme should be able to:<\/p>

(b) Explain the principal models of policing;
(c) Master the various aspects of private security management; and
(d) Conduct a systematic analysis of the relationship between the law enforcement and society;<\/p>

In addition to the learning outcomes for the BSSLESM, graduates of the BSSLESMH programme should be able to:<\/p>

(e) Carry out a critical review of various law enforcement agencies; and
(f) Critically evaluate Hong Kong's criminal justice system.<\/p>

Early exit point<\/strong><\/h3>

Higher Diploma in Law Enforcement and Security Management (HDLESMA) can serve as an early exit point for Bachelor of Social Sciences with Honours in Law Enforcement and Security Management (BSSLESMH) and Bachelor of Social Sciences in Law Enforcement and Security Management (BSSLESM). Students may opt to graduate with (HDLESMA) after completing the required number of credit-units and fulfilling the programme graduation requirements.
