The pandemic has changed the daily habits of many people and brought about more new working models. Whether it is working from home, remote or flexible working, working at slash, digital nomading, or a hybrid model combining in-office and remote work, new elements have been injected into the post-pandemic workplace. In the third session of the 'New Perspective for Career Development' online talk series, alumnus Shin Yiu-ming, a post-80s startupper, was invited to share the experience of creating a job-seeking platform for the new generation of workers, and share views on the development of new work models as well as how to equip oneself for navigating the future of work.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Alumnus Shin Yiu-ming \u00a0 BBA in Management<\/span>
Founder of HKESE<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Shin became a web development engineer after obtaining a Bachelor's degree at the University. In an experience of looking for a freelance writer, he got to learn more about job autonomy and flexible working mode, and noticed the society's changing and increasing demand for recruiting talents and job seeking. In 2017, he made use of his spare time to establish the new-generation recruitment platform 'HKESE', and quitted his stable nine-to-five full-time job in 2021 at times of uncertainty. Shin devoted whole-heartedly to the new business, which has developed to become a platform having 100,000 monthly active users. What does Shin think about the future of work trends and how should the new generation equip themselves to brave the new challenges?<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
