Mr. Chan was dedicated to public and community service, \r\nparticularly the financial services sector. He was the former Citigroup Country Officer for Hong Kong and Head of Corporate and Investment Banking Business for the Greater China. He joined Citigroup in Hong Kong as a Management Associate in early 1980. In 1986, he had an opportunity to work in Japan. He successfully managed the unique culture and market environment of Japan and led the company to greater achievement. In 2003, he was called upon to be the Citigroup Country Officer for Taiwan and he successfully resolved crises and rebuilt people's confidence in the company.<\/p>\r\n<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n<tr>\r\n<td class=\"style65\" style=\"width: 5%;\" valign=\"top\">\r\n<p class=\"style51\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 100%; height: auto;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hkmu.edu.hk\/PAO\/ball_grey.gif\" alt=\"ball_grey\" align=\"top\" border=\"0\" hspace=\"0\" \/><\/p>\r\n<\/td>\r\n<td class=\"style65\" style=\"width: 95%;\" valign=\"top\">\r\n<p class=\"style51\">Among hundreds of leaders of the field, Mr Chan was \r\nrecognized by Citigroup as an excellent alumnus.
