The Unit also develops educational technologies according to specific academic requirements. The eTool for Final Year Projects is one example. Functions of this eTool include:<\/font><\/p> \n

    \n
  • Allowing students to indicate their FYP topic choices and enter information about themselves (e.g. skills, interests, academic background). <\/font><\/li> \n
  • Providing a summary for project supervisors to consider. <\/font><\/li> \n
  • Allowing students to check their results easily after the supervisors have entered their decisions in the eTool. <\/font><\/li> \n
  • Allowing supervisors to generate and publish monthly presentation timetables.   <\/font><\/li> \n
  • Allowing students to fill in their progress reports online, and supervisors to give comments and grades to students after their presentations. <\/font><\/li> \n <\/ul> \n

    As a result, the eTool not only lightens the burden of supervisors, but also smooths the workflow between supervisors and students. <\/font><\/p> \n
