Regulations for the Diploma in Electronics
These regulations are made under paragraphs 1 to 4 of the Regulations for the Award of Sub-degree Qualifications (Sub-degrees).

In these regulations definitions shall apply as in the Regulations for the Award of Sub-degree Qualifications and in the Interpretation Section of the Academic Rules and Regulations.

Diploma in Electronics (DE) (See Note 5)
1. To be eligible for the award of the Diploma in Electronics, a student shall:
  a) comply with the Regulations for Admission, Registration and Maintenance of Status; and
  b) comply with the Regulations for the Award of Sub-degree Qualifications (Sub-degrees); and
  c) obtain at least 60 credits in courses prescribed by the regulations including at least 20 credits in Middle level courses and no more than 10 credits at Pre-foundation level.
2. For the Diploma in Electronics, the University has prescribed that a student must:
  a) obtain at least 10 credits from courses labelled CE in Table 1; and
  b) successfully complete 40 credits of courses labelled CD in Table 1; and
  c) successfully complete additional courses labelled CE or OD in Table 1, provided that, of the total 60 credits, no more than 10 are gained at Pre-foundation level.

  2. Courses form excluded combinations with other courses. Only one of the courses of the excluded combinations can count towards an OUHK award. Students should refer to the list of excluded combinations for details.

  4. Successful completion of ELEC S202 is considered as completion of ELEC S222 and ELEC S225.
     
  5. The programme of Diploma in Electronics has been phased out from 2021 Spring term. The University will continue to confer the award of the Diploma in Electronics up to December 2025.
