Aims

  1. Equip students with skills in handling and analysing health data sets;
  2. Enable students to perform data mining and acquire knowledge contributing to the maintenance or improvement of the well-being of older persons;
  3. Introduce students to human-centred design (HCD), and relevant applications in service process design for older persons;
  4. Introduce students to key concepts of artificial intelligence (AI), and the use of virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR) in healthcare;
  5. Enable students to be aware of the impact of digital divide and misinformation / fake news.

Continuous assessment includes an individual assignment, an individual essay and a group presentation.
