Aims

The aim of this course is to provide students with the skills and knowledge of e-commerce in the global economy, innovation and knowledge management, and design thinking. It also equips students with the ability to evaluate the impact of emerging technologies on firms and society.

Contents

The course covers the following topics:

  • Digital economy ecosystem
  • Design thinking
  • Innovation management
  • Knowledge management
  • New payment systems and cybersecurity

Contact hours

A total of 45 hours across one term, consisting of 11 three-hour lectures and 4 three-hour tutorial classes.

Assessment

The continuous assessment portion of the course accounts for 60% of the total course score, while the final examination accounts for the remaining 40% of the total course score. Students are required to submit assignments via the Online Learning Environment (OLE).
