EndNote Web - a references management tool

In 2008, with the Library’s subscription to Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI), there is no charge for OUHK community to register and access their accounts at EndNote Web, a software tool particularly useful to academic staff, research students or those who want basic functionality to organize references on the web and use them for citing in their papers. EndNote Web allows users to format bibliographies in more than 3,200 publication styles, including major ones such as Chicago, APA and MLA styles. SSCI users can also send search results to their EndNote Web account in one step. For further help and details, please contact Information Services Section of the Library at libwww@ouhk.edu.hk

Hot Topic: Olympics

The Beijing Olympic Torch was relayed in Hong Kong today. While it may be an exciting moment for many Hong Kong people and perhaps it is one of their dreams to carry the flame, news on the games very often goes beyond sports.

For news coverage of the incidents, check out WiseNews for articles mainly in Chinese. Use Factiva to find related coverage in major English media.

More studies and research on the economic, political, historical or cultural issues related to the Olympics can easily be located in Academic Search Elite, China Academic Journals (Politics/Military Affairs/Law), PAIS International, Worldwide Political Science Abstracts etc.

To access these databases, go to Electronic Library > E-Journals & Databases > type in the name of database, then search.
